"People think that design is styling. Design is not style. It’s not about giving shape to the shell and not giving a damn about the guts. Good design is a renaissance attitude that combines technology, cognitive science, human need, and beauty to produce something that the world didn’t know it was missing."

“The damage to roads and other infrastructure caused by natural disasters can prevent the rapid provision of shelter and aid materials to survivors. Parachutes, however, can be used for aid delivery and distribution. Parachute Shelter provides both an aid kit and a shelter.

The parachute itself was inspired by the structure of umbrellas. Its folding frame opens when the parachute is dropped from the supply plane, and allows the parachute to be utilized as a stiff shelter on the ground. The aid box contains food, clothing, and emergency medical supplies.”
